Thank you for your interest in Talisman Tattoo Machines. We are a small tattoo machine shop located in Taos, New Mexico, where we also tattoo full-time (www.talismantattootaos.com). Talisman Tattoo Machines is owned and operated by Aries Rhysing and Adam Romero who have both pursued the craft of machine building since they started tattooing. Driven by a love for the craft and a greater love for the tools of the trade we have been painstakingly researching and developing our machines for years and have finally created a line of machines that we know will fulfill the needs of discerning tattoo artists in every regard.
Aries started building machines in 1999 when he still resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally working almost exclusively with the original Sailor Jerry Bulldog frames (as well as the pitbull liner version of the same frame), Aries has a strong background in traditional tattoo machine building. Branching out from this, Aries proceeded to build custom machines with traditional Walker and Jonesy frames, as well as several custom frame designs by James Millman R.I.P. Responding to the huge expansion in the tattoo machine building community of traditional tattoo machine builders Aries started work on an original frame design to meet the needs of tattooers seeking a tattoo machine that fulfills the demands of traditional and modern tattooing, while exploring a new aesthetic.
Adam Romero started working for Talisman Tattoo in 2008 and stepped up to join the Talisman Tattoo Machines crew. Adam has had the opportunity to work with many machine builders, the most noteworthy being Jeff Dish from Albuquerque, New Mexico - who casts his own frames and builds custom machines for many of the top artists in his community. Adam has been building his own tattoo machines since 2007 and has an impeccable eye for precision and detail. He has proven invaluable for production of these machines and has become an integral part of our team.
Jason Tiedeken (METALMORPHOSIS CYCLES and ROLAND SANDS DESIGN - www.metalmorphosiscycles.com) completes the crew at Talisman Tattoo Machines. From the original design process to the final production Jason lends his technical expertise and experience every step of the way. Many of the innovative features of our machines would not have been possible without him.
We use our machines exclusively at this point of the game to represent our devotion to this endeavor.
